Have you tryed to change the hight of your sissy bar?? I had mine off this weekend and right now it sits almost on the pillion pad( where I like it)and it can be raised up about 2 inches. The only problem I could see is that when down it has allen screws that goes into the bottom of the sissy bar to stablize it and if you raise it up the allen screws don't reach the bottom of the bar and it kinda moves back and forth making me think that it might loosen or fall out after a while of riding. Maybe you could get longer allen screws or even bolts to reach the sissy bar.
